VisionSports is run by Ken Way, a highly experienced sports psychologist, trainer and coach. He started his career as a sports psychologist when he completed projects for organisations including the Sports Council, before gaining experience in the sports industry in management roles in both marketing and training.

Sport: His client list includes sportspeople from many different areas. He has worked with British, Commonwealth and World Champions. His experience includes working with three professional football clubs (Premiership and Championship levels), including international players from more than 30 different countries. Others who have benefited from Ken’s work include cricket and rugby clubs, golfers, tennis and squash players, jockeys, fencers, canoeists and many other sportsmen and women.

Business: He is an experienced coach and trainer in the business world and has worked with such companies as BBC, BOC, British Aerospace, Chase/JP Morgan, Deutsche Bank, Fujitsu-Siemens, Hasbro, House of Fraser, Johnson & Johnson, Lehmans, Marconi, Nationwide, PriceWaterhouseCoopers, Rolls Royce, Walt Disney, Zurich and many other organisations. His training experience is very wide, specialising in human performance topics and the creation of customised management development programmes. Ken particularly enjoys programmes involving Communication Skills, Influencing, Neuro-Linguistic Programming (including certificated programmes up to Master Practitioner level), Impact and Presence (Advanced Presentation Skills, Personal Impact), Motivational Language, Negotiation Skills, Teambuilding, Leadership, and Team Management.

Style: Ken has a relaxed and easygoing approach that enables him to work effectively with individuals and teams with a wide variety of backgrounds and experience. His career includes three years' work as a research psychologist in the human performance arena and this, coupled with qualifications and experience in a wide range of approaches (including being a certified Trainer of NLP, an Integral Psychotherapist, a Master Practitioner of Time Line Therapy and a Fellow of the Hypnotherapy Research Society) enables him to help individuals make effective and lasting changes. His highly adaptable approach means he is happy working one-to-one or with teams.

Speaking: Ken has spoken at many conferences and given presentations and short workshops to many organisations. His ability to draw connections between sport and business goes down well with audiences – as does his humour and passion for excellence in human performance.
